Privacy Policy

Black Peak (“we”, “us”) operates blckpk.com. This policy explains what information we process, why, and the choices you have under the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and US state privacy laws (including the CCPA/CPRA).

What this site does

This website is a simple landing page. We do not run advertising, do not use advertising cookies, and do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Information we process

Essential site operation

When you visit, our hosting provider (Firebase Hosting / Google) automatically receives standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested, in order to deliver the site, maintain security, and diagnose errors. This is strictly necessary to operate the website.

Consent preference

If you accept or reject analytics, we store that choice in your browser’s local storage so we can honor it on later visits. That preference stays on your device and is not sent to us as a profile.

Optional analytics (Plausible)

We use Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics service. Plausible is designed not to use cookies or collect personal identifiers. It records aggregated visit metrics (for example page views, referrer, and approximate country) so we can understand whether the site is being used.

For visitors in the United States, analytics is on by default. You can opt out at any time with Cookie settings. For visitors in the UK, EU, and other regions where consent is required, analytics starts only after you click Accept. If you click Reject, we do not initialize Plausible.

Legal bases (EU / UK)

US privacy rights

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Depending on your state (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others), you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing. Because we do not sell or share personal information and do not use targeted advertising cookies, there is no separate “Do Not Sell or Share” toggle. US visitors can still turn analytics off with Cookie settings.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat that as a request to opt out of analytics and will not load Plausible.

EU / UK rights

If GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal data we hold, and you may withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (for example the ICO in the UK, or your EU member state DPA).

Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not set advertising cookies. The only similar technology we use on purpose is local storage for your analytics choice, which is strictly necessary to remember that choice. Optional analytics, if accepted, is provided by Plausible and is designed to operate without cookies.

Retention and sharing

Hosting logs are retained by our provider for a limited period for security and operations. Aggregated Plausible metrics, if enabled, are retained in our Plausible account for reporting. We do not sell your information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the site (hosting and, if you consent, analytics), and where required by law.

International transfers

Our hosting is provided by Google Firebase, which may process data in the United States and other countries. Plausible is an EU-based provider. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do.
